Il 59° Trento FilmFestival ospita in anteprima 25 stampe fine art b/n 50x50cm di Alberto Bregani facenti parte del progetto fotografico  "Dentro e fuori le cime: Dolomiti di Brenta tra immagine e racconto”.

Alla mostra è collegata la conferenza (6/05 ore 18) nella quale l'Autore, parlerà della nascita dell'idea, le modalità di realizzazione, alcuni video di backstage e spiegherà il significato di lavorare ancora in biancoenero e pellicola in un'era piu che mai digitale.

IL PROGETTO
"Dentro e fuori le Cime... "è un progetto triennale intrapreso da Alberto Bregani agli inizi del 2009 che si concluderà alla fine di quest'anno. Il lavoro verrà riassunto in un libro grande formato per Nuovi Sentieri Editore in uscita nel marzo del 2012. Co-autori la guida alpina Sandro Vidi per le schede tecniche e Roberta Bonazza per i testi. Alberto Bregani sarà presente all'Auditorium da giovedi 28 aprile a domenica 1° Maggio e nei giorni venerdi 6 e sabato 7 maggio.

- La mostra ad accesso libero è allestita nello spazio foyer dell'Auditorium Santa Chiara di Trento, sede principale del 59° Trento FilmFestival negli orari di apertura dell'Auditorium durante il FilmFestival
- Non è necessaria alcuna registrazione; nel caso si prevedesse una visita alla mostra può essere  comunicata attraverso il breve modulo segnalato a inizio pagina (Register) e informare l'Autore di un vostro passaggio per potervi eventualmente incontrare in caso coincidessero con le giornate di sua presenza.

Inside and out of the ridges: pictures and tales from the Brenta Dolomites
“Mountains and photography involve walking, letting your eyes guide you, improvising, discovering, moving from place to place, and seeing familiar ones in a new light. Just one camera, one lens, a tripod and handful of black-and-white rolls your only companions. It means wandering in and out of the forest, over and around the mountains, aimlessly and timelessly, following the path of the sun, clouds drifting in and out of sight, casting light and shadow on the snow and on the rock. Each shot is full of silence and soulfulness. It is as though I am in the mountains and in the photograph at the same time. And this, for now, is all I need.”

These words capture Alberto Bregani’s innermost thoughts on photography. He sees photography as an interpretation of vibrations that need to be understood and transferred onto each frame. In his eyes, photography is an expression of his own personal, direct relationship with the mountains: from his childhood in the Ampezzo Dolomites to his life as an experienced mountain photographer amidst the Brenta Dolomites. His shots, always on black-and-white film, are essential, pure, powerful and brim with nuance; they are a tribute to the Sublime and the Beautiful that Edmund Burke’s philosophical enquiry brought to light so powerfully in the mid 1700s, concepts that Romantic literature and philosophy then made their own. They are also a tribute to Nature, “...which both terrifies and attracts us”, and to which we must always give the utmost deference. His work is also a heartfelt invitation to nurture and preserve this wonderful natural heritage we have been given. Dentro e fuori le cime: Dolomiti di Brenta tra immagine e racconto is a photography project that Alberto Bregani has been working on since 2009; it will conclude at the end of 2011 with the publication of major book, co-authored with mountain guide Sandro Vidi and tales by Roberta Bonazza.
